Green Screen Production at Southampton Solent Skillset Media Academy

Tony Wade, Senior Lecturer on the Green Screen Production course.
This inspiration behind the Green Screen Production short course came from senior lecturer Tony Wade following the build of a state-of-the-art digital TV studio.
The course, which is being delivered as part of the Build Your Own MA portfolio of short courses, and is taking place at Southampton Solent Skillset Media Academy, developed from a series of Technical Operations courses to introduce ITV staff to new digital news production technology.
This short course is aimed at professional media practitioners - producers, directors, designers, developers and video-journalists - who extend their skills to studio production. It aims to build upon prior learning and accrued professional knowledge to achieve quality results with green screen chroma key, using state-of-the-art TV studio and post-production facilities.
Participants will identify, design, plan, execute and provide effective creative solutions for production, business or technical issues. By applying critical analysis participants will learn to evaluate the appropriate applied models through effective communication in a variety of contexts.
Those joining the course can expect to benefit from experienced industry professionals, whose background includes cameras and studio vision systems, studio and location lighting, green-screen chroma-key, and non-linear Avid editing.
