Creative Business Leader Programme Wales

Rastamouse for BBC CBeebies, Dinamo Productions
Kirkbright’s Creative Business Leader Programme has been developed to equip owners and managers of creative companies with the business and leadership skills they need to take their work forward. The programme is supported by Skillset funding, visit Skillset Cymru Freelance Busaries to see if you're eligible.
The intensive, six day programme covers commercial strategy and business planning, people management, monetising intellectual property and navigating the digital marketplace. At the end of the programme you should have the knowledge and tools to boost productivity, add value and grow your creative business.
Previous participants have benefited personally from small group interactive sessions and having a senior industry mentor as well as an executive coach. Their businesses have also grown as a result of the course. Elin Rhys, Managing Director of Telesgop attended the programme in 2010. She told us, ‘It’s not one of those courses where you go away for a day and come back and nothing has changed. You actually implement improvements in your business connected to what you learn.”
We also spoke to Owen Stickler, Co-founder of Dinamo Productions about the course. He said the Creative Business Leader Programme, “opened our mind to new opportunities.” Dinamo are now putting new HR, operations and finance systems in place to prepare them for the changes ahead as their company expands.
