Creative Leadership with Bournemouth Skillset Media Academy
The Creative Leadership course, delivered in London by Bournemouth Skillset Media Academy, was co-taught by Bob Shennan, Controller of BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music.
Bob was previously Head of BBC Sport where he was responsible for overseeing all sport on BBC TV, Radio and Online.
The course covered a range of issues including organisational culture, leadership styles and skills and how to foster creativity. It was a resounding success with each of the eight participants rating it five out of five for quality of teaching. Some of the comments they made include:
Very good. Extremely well-taught and very interesting. Good external speakers. Highly Enjoyable!
Depth of subjects taught in such a short space of time was great.
The Creative Media Leadership Award consists of three short courses, each two days in duration followed by a period of online support.
Participants also have a mentor for the duration of the programme and take part in live webinars led by key industry figures.
The next course in the series – Media Strategy – is being delivered on 9-10 September 2011 in London. Participants who missed out on the Creative Leadership course can still sign up for the Media Strategy course and undertake the Creative Leadership course at a later date.
