BA (Hons) Film Production

The BA (Hons) Film Production prepares its students for a career within the film industry and produces top quality graduates with a range of skills and a practical, realistic and commercial outlook.

The course provides practical experience of the many aspects of filmmaking, both in drama productions and documentaries. The aim of the course is to produce graduates who progress to key creative and production roles in mainstream film production.

Students gain a contextual understanding of the process of film production and the relationship between all its constituent roles and departments including designing, editing, sound, cinematography, production and direction. Students choose their specialist department at the end of their first year.

The course is taught by industry professionals who are passionate about their craft. Their wealth of experience and the well resourced professional filmmaking equipment makes for an invaluable experience for each part of the learning process, from pre-production to delivery of completed films.
